For people who are tired of the neoconservative agenda of war, deficit spending, social conservativism and the growing the powers of the state
Neoconservative watch is a group that is dedicated to keep an eye on the state loving group of people known as Neoconservatives. Neoconservatives began their political journeys as 60s and 70s radical socialists and communists who left the Democratic Party when the anti-war left became the dominate force in the party. They along side the Religious Right were able to take over the Republican Party via the Reagan Revolution and wrestle power away from Libertarians and Paleoconservatives. Neoconservatives were the key cheerleaders in Gulf War during the George H.W. Bush administration and during the Bosnian War in the Bill Clinton Administration. The tragedy of 9/11 and all throughout the George W. Bush administration once again saw the influence Neoconservatism with the PATRIOT Act (and it's additions), the Iraq War and the general massive increase in government. The election of Barack Obama in 2008 did not stop the influence of Neoconservatism with Obama pursing the same foreign and domestic policies that he railed against during his campaign.
